Rolling Stones, Roger Waters and Bruce Springsteen up for Grammy awards

The nominees for the 60th annual Grammy Awards have been announced and The Rolling Stones, Roger Waters, Bruce Springsteen and Gregg Allman have all received nominations.

Allman's farewell album, Southern Blood, has been nominated in the Best Americana Album category, with My Only True Friend eligible for Best Americana Roots Song.

Tedeschi Trucks Band, Allman's former bandmate Derek Trucks's current group, is nominated for Best Contemporary Blues Album for Live From the Fox Oakland.

The Stones' Blue & Lonesome, has been rewarded with a Best Traditional Blues Album nomination, their 12th overall.

Springsteen could win his 21st Grammy (out of 50 nominations) for the Spoken Word album version of his autobiography Born to Run.

Cat Stevens is also up for an award with The Laughing Apple up for Best Folk Album.
