On an episode of Piers Morgan Live! Meat Loaf sat down with Piers and of course one of the questions that came up was how he got his iconic name.
There have been many theories on how he got this name over the years but almost all of them have just been speculation.
Meat Loaf was actually born Marvin Lee Aday. He went on to legally change his name to Michael Lee Aday.
During the Bat Out Of Hell tour, he actually had ‘Meat Loaf’ on his passport. Unfortunately, at one point, he was kept in immigration for six hours. To this day, Meat Loaf’s passport reads ‘Michael Lee Aday’.
