Halla is a choir conductor and eco-activist who disrupts the operations of an aluminium plant in the Icelandic highlands by cutting their power. But this is as her long-forgotten application to adopt a child from the Ukraine is approved. As a result, the government ramps up its efforts to catch and discredit Halla as she tries to reconcile her activism with the upcoming adoption.
