Music 17/11/2016
The Bataclan concert hall in Paris was reopened by Sting on the eve of the anniversary of last years awful Paris attacks, where 90 people were killed.
On November 13 last year Islamic State sympathisers killed 130 people in attacks across the city which targeted the concert hall, a stadium, restaurants and bars.
Around 1500 people were watching rock band Eagles of Death Metal play when suicide bombers and jihadists with automatic weapons opened fire on the concert hall.
Among the concert goers at the reopening were survivors of last years attacks.
Ahead of the concert Sting said there were two important tasks to reconcile.
"First, to remember and honour those who lost their lives in the attack a year ago, and second to celebrate the life and the music that this historic theatre represents. In doing so we hope to respect the memory as well as the life affirming spirit of those who fell. We shall not forget them."
The concert hall was closed on the actual anniversary of the attacks out of respect to the victims.
