To close their Paris concert earlier this week U2 brought out Patti Smith to perform their 1987 hit, 'Mothers of the Disappeared'.

Bono and Patti Smith swap lead vocals and she adds lyrics in from her 1988 single 'People Have the Power'.

This isn't the first time Patti Smith has joined U2 on stage, in December 2015 she joined them to perform portions of 'People Have the Power' during their show in Paris and also in London earlier that year.

The Paris show was U2's last stop on their tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their iconic, multi platinum album 'The Joshua Tree'.

They start the North American leg of their tour on September 3rd in Detroit.
