It is official! Paul McCartney's new album Egypt Station is due to release on September 7, 2018 via Capitol Records.
"I liked the words 'Egypt Station'. It reminded me of the 'album' albums we used to make...,' says McCartney. The album shares the same title as one of Paul's paintings. He describes the album as each song is like a station different from each other. As you progress through the songs, it would be like moving from one station to another.
It gave us some idea to base all the songs around that. I think of it as a dream location that the music emanates from.
Egypt Station features 14 songs with a unique travelogue vibe.

Paul McCartney has announced via his Instagram that he will be releasing a double A-side single, "I Don't Know" and "Come On to Me".
Finally, Sir Macca. It has been four years since New!
Hot off the press, the two A-sides are said to be polar-opposites, with "I Don't Know" being a melancholic soul-soothing ballad while the other, "Come On To Me" is a raucous stomper.
Recently, McCartney has been busy stirring up speculations among fans in the past week with secretly performing a new song at a local pub and sending us cryptic images on Twitter of his new album. Then, he went all silent to attend his nephew's wedding to sing before announcing the release via his Instagram. At around the same time, James Corden released a teaser of his 'Carpool Karaoke' segment with McCartney.
We got to hand it to you. You kept us on our toes all week and rewarded us with two brand new tracks to enjoy.
McCartney's new album is due to be released sometime in Spring this year.
