Kiss have announced a special set of Deluxe-Premiere trading cards that will arrive this October.
Celebrating the 40th anniversary of Donruss releasing the first set of Kiss trading cards in 1978, the set will feature fan-favourite photos of Kiss and artists portraying their iconic band. To top it off, the set will also include Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley signed cards.
"Kiss trading cards are some of the most collectable memorabilia out there. They've been around since the early days of the band," says Gene Simmons.
These new cards add to the tradition and the lore of Kiss and I can't wait for fans to get their hands on them.
The Kiss Deluxe Ultra-Premium Trading Card Set includes:
- An 18-card base set
- Chase cards: 6 autographed cards that are signed in colour ink or an "ultra-rare, gold ink signature"
- 3 black-and-white art cards
- 9-card puzzle cards, two-box-topper special cards
- Hand-drawn original art signed sketch cards.
Individual foil packs include:
- 2 base cards
- 2 sketch cards
- 1 art card
- 1 puzzle card
- 1 autographed card
Each specially designed boxes will include twelve foil packs.
Dynamite will also be launching a new comic book starring Kiss called KISS: Blood and Stardust, premiering alongside the trading cards in October.
According to the press release, the comic book is about "an immortal cabal is taking the lives of innocents and the only ones who can stop them are Kiss! The only problem: They are dead. And now they have to make a deal with a demon to save their souls and return to Earth to fight evil!
