Two German men escape nursing home to go to Metal Festival

Two occupants at an elderly home in Germany caused a massive panic among the staff when they went missing. They later found out that the two men sneaked out so that they could attend Wacken Open Air Festival, one of the biggest heavy metal festivals in the world.

As Deutsche Welle reports, police were alerted to help find the two residents who were later discovered at 3am on festival grounds in Schleswig Holstein. Although they were reluctant to leave the four-day festival, so the police escorted them back to the nursing home with the help of a cab and a patrol car.

The sold-out festival had Judas Priest, Danzig and Hatebreed as the main headliners and the rest of the lineup included Vince Neil, Dokken, Tremonti, Cannibal Corpse and Fozzy and many more. They were expecting about 75,000 daily attendees. 

Police spokeswoman Merle Neufeld comments, "They obviously liked the metal festival. " She also mentioned that the pair were "disoriented and dazed".
