Pink Floyd has recently shared the animated music video for the opening track "One of These Days", taken from their album Meddle (1971).
The music video was previously only available from their 2016 box set, The Early Years 1965 - 1972.
The instrumental song only had one spoken sentence by drummer Nick Mason: "One of these days I'm going to cut you into little pieces". It is also the only song Mason's vocals were featured in any Pink Floyd song.
The animation was created by the famous British artist and filmmaker, Ian Emes, who is known for both his creative animation prior to Pink Floyd as well as being the original animator for the band. Titled "French Windows", the psychedelic animation was created in 1972 and broadcasted on The Grey Whistle Test, an influential UK TV music programme. Keyboardist Rick Wright saw the broadcast and immediately contacted Emes, which led to a very long-standing working relationship between Emes and Pink Floyd.
