Bono has just released a statement that U2 will be able to continue their tour.
Last week, Bono lost the ability to sing halfway through their concert at Berlin, Germany, complaining that the smokey atmosphere has impeded his singing, describing the concert venue as like being in a giant cigar.
They initially planned to take a 10-minute break but the band did not return to the stage afterwards. They had asked the attendees to hold on to their tickets for another show as an apology.
The band has confirmed a new date of 13th Nov as Bono had stated that he had seen a great doctor who will be making sure he will be "back to full voice for the rest of the tour". It is a relief that it was not anything serious and he feels very upset that the Berlin audience were inconvenienced by this incident.
"There was an amazing atmosphere in the house, it was going to be one of those unforgettable nights but not for this reason.”
Bono also added a handwritten note reading, "PS to the ones who sang ‘Red Flag Day’ for me last night, thanks. There are some high notes in that one… as always ‘you take us higher.'”
