Former Pink Floyd drummer, Nick Mason revealed that he got tired of waiting for his ex-bandmates to call him about a Pink Floyd reunion.

During a concert Mason had played with his new band, Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets, he told the audience that he "finally given up waiting for that phone call from Roger or David". Previously, he joked about the accusation that he had formed a tribute band, saying, "As you know now, we are not the Australian Rogers Waters. Nor are we the Danish David Gilmour.”

Singer Gary Kemp described Mason as someone more down to earth, "a nicer, funnier, less egotistical man than you could ever hope to meet [who] truly is the heartbeat of Pink Floyd”.

Pink Floyd's last reunion performance was at Live 8 in 2005 and three years later, keyboardist Rick Wright passed away.
