Stevie Nicks - The first woman to be inducted twice in Rock Hall's 34-year history

music news 14/12/2018

Stevie Nicks is now officially a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, along fellow musicians, The Cure, The Zombies, Janet Jackson as well as the fan favourite vote Def Leppard.

Nicks shared an emotional post on Facebook earlier today saying, "I have a lot to say about this~ but I will save those words for later. For now I will just say, I have been in a band since 1968. To be recognized for my solo work makes me take a deep breath and smile. It's a glorious feeling."

Already inducted once in the Hall of Fame for her work with Fleetwood Mac in 1998, she currently holds the title for the first ever two-time female Inductee of Rock Hall of Fame. It's a feat that will be difficult to top for a long while. The first woman to be ever inducted was Aretha Franklin who has recently passed away this year.

Congratulations Stevie! You've earned it. What a great kick off to 2019 for you.
