The actor who will play David Bowie in new Biopic Stardust has been revealed.
Johnny Flynn will play a young David Bowie which will follow his first visit to the US in 1971 – a trip that inspired the creation of his iconic alter ego Ziggy Stardust. It will show his transformation into one of the most iconic and legendary superstars in music history.
According to Screen International, the soundtrack will include various Bowie performances. The film will be written by Christopher Bell (The Last Czars) and directed by Gabriel Range (I Am Slave). According to Deadline, principal photography begins this June.
Flynn is currently starring alongside Game of Thrones‘ Kit Harrington in a West End production of Sam Shepherd’s play True West.
