Paul McCartney adds three new songs to "Egypt Station" expansion

New 15/02/2019

Three never heard before tracks will be added to Sir Macca's latest No. 1 studio album in a new box set, "Egypt Station: Traveller's Edition".

Coming this May 10, only 3,000 copies will be available for purchase. The expansion will include an extended version of the single "Who Cares' and two new tracks, "Frank Sinatra's Party" and "Sixty Second Street".

The original album will be pressed on 180g vinyl and "Egypt Station II" pressed on “Night Scene” blue vinyl. Four live songs recorded at Abbey Road, the Cavern Club, the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and Grand Central Station will also be included in the collection.

The expanded album will come in vinyl, compact disc and cassette formats with HD audio and some "rare performance footage". Travel-themed memorabilia items like a copy of a handwritten note from McCartney, an old-fashion illustrated map, luggage stickers, lithographs, playing cards and more will also be included in a vintage-styled suitcase.

"Egypt Station" was Sir Macca's first album to ever debut at No. 1 on the charts despite having seven other albums achieving the No. 1 spot.
