Steve Perry has released a new music video for his song, 'We're Still Here', taken from his comeback solo album, 'Traces'.
In the video, Perry goes old school with cruising around the city in a sweet ride, similar to what MTV used to show back in the '80s.
Driving around Los Angeles in a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, Perry sings his song while he observes the nightlife all around him. Watch the video below.
In a press release, Perry explained that the video mirrors the inspiration for the song which he co-wrote with Brian West.
“Brian and I had just started writing the song and were sketching it out in the studio,” Perry says. “When we broke for dinner, I went to this place down the street, and that was the first time I’d been in Hollywood in a long time. There I was on Sunset Blvd. and Hollywood and Vine just walking around. I saw a whole new generation of 16- and 17-year-olds running around just … alive. And through these kids I felt a kinship. We’re still here doing the same thing.”
A deluxe edition of his 'Traces' album is due for release this 15th April, which is said to include five additional unreleased songs from the same recording sessions as well as various 'Traces' memorabilia like posters, candle, pillowcase, an insulated cup as well as a key chain of Chevy.
