Jeff Lynne has named Dhani Harrison, son of his long-time friend, ex-Beatle George Harrison to open for all the Jeff Lynne ELO summer shows.
Dhani and Lynne have previously collaborated on George's last album release, 'Brainwashed' (2002), which was completed posthumously.
Lynne first collaborated with George in the '80s on his 'Cloud Nine' comeback album as well records made as part of the Travelling Willburys.
Dhani and Lynne has shared the stage together before in gigs like the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's 2004 induction ceremony where they performed a rocking version of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" along with Tom Petty, Steve Winwood and Prince. Watch the video below.
The 20-show tour will kick off this 20th June at Anaheim's Honda Center in California and is expected to finish on the 1st Aug in Pittsburgh.
