Performing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert this week, Paul Simon delivered an ecstatic performance of his Graceland classic 'That Was Your Mother' this week.
Teaming up with the Late Show house band, Jon Batiste and Stay Human, with Batiste stepping out from behind his piano to play the accordion. Colbert even joined in the performance, strapping on a frottoir (a zydeco washboard worn as a vest) and playing it with a pair of spoons. Watch the performance above.
Simon previously appeared on the Late Show earlier this year and spoke about revisiting and revising old songs for his 2018 album Into the Blue Light. He peformed two reworked tracks from that LP 'Rene and Georgette Magritte With Their Dog After the War' and 'One Man’s Ceiling Is Another Man’s Floor'. You can watch this performance below:
