While they won't get to see the band together performing live in person again, fans of Rush will be happy to hear a new film from the band is on the way this August.

Named as the first "Annual Exercise in Fan Indulgence" since the band split, 'Rush: Cinema Strangiato 2019' will feature an assortment of song performances and backstage footage from the band’s 2015 R40 40th anniversary tour.

The film includes a new interview with singer and bassist Geddy Lee, discussing his 2018 book 'Geddy Lee's Big Beautiful Book of Bass'. Celebrity Rush fans -including Billy Corgan, Tom Morello and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins - will also appear in the movie.

"I'm excited for fans to see some new clips from our R40 tour, but also a peek behind the scenes of making the Big Beautiful Book of Bass," said Lee.

The film will screen for one night only at selected cinemas around the world on August 21st. You can get all the details here.
