David Bowie's estate has announced a special reissue of 'Space Oddity' to commemorate its 50th anniversary.
Available via Bowie's website, the box set is due to be released on 12th July, just one day after the anniversary.
The collection features two 7 inch singles, one featuring the original mono mixes of "Space Oddity" and its B-side, "Wild Eyed Boy from Freecloud", and the other includes 2019 mixes of the same tracks by longtime engineer and co-producer to Bowie, Tony Visconti.
In addition to the box set are an information card, a print of an alternative shot from the Space Oddity promo single cover session and a double-sided poster featuring the single's original press ad and a picture of Bowie on the other side that photographed at Save Rave 69 show.
The cover art for this special release will feature the original ultra-rare unissued UK picture sleeve that was first used for the original mono single. It also includes the original Phillips trademark.
