Lindsey Buckingham has finally sold his 'extremely' private' Brentwood compound in California after being put on the market for three months.
The buyers paid $41 million NZD, just $3 million NZD short than Buckingham's asking price.
Los Angeles Times reported that Buckingham and his wife, Kristen bought the 1.2-acre double lot in 2004 for only $9.8 million NZD and built a 929-square-meter house on it, three years later.
The compound offers "an enchanting setting with lushly landscaped grounds, captivating facade and old-world ambience and authenticity." The house includes eight bedrooms and ten bathrooms with the master suite taking up one entire wing of the main floor. The home also features a recording studio built into the garage, a billiard room as well as formal living and dining rooms. The interiors were designed by Kristen, with white beamed ceilings, herringbone flooring, a spiral staircase and a "gourmet farmhouse-style kitchen with professional appliances".
The lot also feature various gardens and patios with an indoor-outdoor living room, gym, guest house, fireplace, a barbecue pit and a pool with a poolhouse.
