Check out the first photo released of actor Johnny Flynn in costume as legendary David Bowie in an upcoming biopic titled 'Stardust'.
Uploaded by one of the movie's producers, Paul Van Carter, who captioned, "Exclusive first look at Johnny Flynn as the young David Bowie in our forthcoming movie Stardust, directed by Gabriel Range, with Marc Maron and Jena Malone.
Currently in production, the film tells the story of Bowie's 1971 American tour that led to the creation of his alt-ego, Ziggy Stardust.
No other information related to the movie was released apart from it's announced in February along with the director's name and main cast. Malone will be playing as Bowie's wife while Maron will portray as his publicist.
Flynn is best known as the lead actor of the popular Netflix series, Lovesick. He also happens to be the frontman of British folk-rock band, Johnny Flynn & the Sussex Wit.
Check out his incredible vocals below.
Stardust is not authorised by Bowie's estate. The late singer's son, Duncan Jones, said that he's "pretty certain nobody has been granted music rights for any biopic. ... I would know."
"I'm not saying this movie is not happening. I honestly wouldn't know. I'm saying that as it stands, this movie won't have any of Dad's music in it, and I can't imagine that changing. If you want to see a biopic without his music or the family's blessing, that's up to the audience."
