Listen to this new benefit song, 'Fascinating', a previously-unreleased track R.E.M. has unearthed from their vaults to aid Bahamas after they were hit by Hurricane Dorian last week.
R.E.M. is selling the track to raise funds for Mercy Corps, a disaster relief organisation.
Press release states that the band first recorded this song in 2001. It was frontman Michael Stipe's favourite recording from the 'Reveal' sessions, but it was archived. They re-recorded it in 2004, but... it didn't quite fit with the other songs on their 'Around the Sun' album.
You can stream and the track on Bandcamp and download it for a minimum donation of $2. All proceeds will go to Mercy Corps which will 3,000 families with emergency kits and solar lanterns that also has USB charging ports for phones.

This marks the second time the band has raised funds for Mercy Corps, previously, they helped to raise funds for the 2005 devastation of Hurricane Katrina.
"I have been fortunate to spend many weeks working and playing in the Bahamas, making friends and lots of music there," bassist Mike Mills expressed. "It breaks my heart to see the damage wrought by Hurricane Dorian. Please help us and Mercy Corps do what we can to alleviate the suffering caused by this catastrophe.
