The lead vocalist to the new wave rock band, the Cars, Ric Ocasek, has been found dead in his Manhattan apartment yesterday.
According to NY Post and confirmed by the NYPD, the singer was discovered unconscious and unresponsive inside his apartment around 4pm by his wife whom he had recently separated from, Paulina Porizkova.
It is said that Ocasek passed away from natural causes. Ocasek is survived by his six sons (two from each marriage).
Surviving members of the Cars recently reunited when they were inducted into the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.
Just last week, singer Eddie Money who is best known for hits like 'Two Tickets to Paradise' and 'Take Me Home Tonight' has passed away, also at the age of 70. He died while battling Stage 4 esophageal cancer that had spread to his stomach and liver.
