Earlier this year, Queen launched their "You Are The Champions" campaign which gave fans the chance to feature in user-generated videos for three of the band's most iconic songs - Bohemian Rhapsody, Don't Stop Me Now and A Kind of Magic.
Fans were asked to submit their singing/instrumental performance of Bohemian Rhapsody, video themselves dancing to Don't Stop Me Now (they had to learn a choreography based off Rami Malek's movement coach), and for those more technically skilled, design visual graphics for A Kind Of Magic based off the song's lyrics.
A few months later - and after receiving submissions from over 10,000 people from 120 countries - Queen released their three fan-made videos to YouTube - and they are something else!
While it may not be your cup of tea - you can't deny the impact Queen's music still has on it's fans, even nearly 28 years after the death of frontman Freddie Mercury, and it's awesome to see so many people enjoying themselves and Queen's music.
Brian May had this to say about the campaign:
It’s one of the most rewarding things that can happen to an artist of any kind: to see that our work has inspired folk all around the world to create their own performances and visual art is a thrill. And the diversity of their vision is astonishing. Big thanks to everyone who participated.
Have a watch of A Kind of Magic above, and Bohemian Rhapsody and Don't Stop Me Now below.
