A thief has been arrested for stealing a number of hard drives that contained unreleased Tom Petty music.
According to TMZ, the theft took place at a storage unit in California. More Than $100,000 worth of guitars, other instruments, hard drives and a gun was stolen. The report also said that the police arrested a suspect for burglary after he confessed to the crime.
"Even better … our source says they've recorded the hard drives and the guns. As for the instruments – we're told cops are running down some leads," the report continues.
TMZ later reports that the storage locker was owned by one of Petty's ex-engineers who own rough cuts of Tom's music and his old guitar.
