Eric Clapton has announced a tribute concert for his late Cream ex-bandmate, Ginger Baker who recently passed away aged 80.
Eric Clapton & Friends: A Tribute to Ginger Baker will take place at London's Hammersmith Apollo this coming 17th Feb 2020, according to Rolling Stone Mag.
The show will focus on the works that Clapton and Baker worked together in their two bands, Cream and Blind Faith. The full lineup will be announced soon.
All proceed will benefit Leonard Cheshire, a UK health and welfare charity that aids people living with disabilities.
The last time Clapton performed with Baker was at Cream's brief reunion in 2005, playing four shows at London's Royal Albert Hall and three shows at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Apart from Clapton, ex-bandmate Steve Winwood remains as the last living bandmate from Blind Faith. It's unsure if Winwood will be joining the tribute concert.
