Eric Clapton postpones tour to 2021 due to coronavirus

Eric Clapton has postponed his 2020 tour to the following year.

The decision was made to adhere to the "advice of global healthcare agencies and local government instructions".

The tour was supposed to kick off on 29th May, but now, it will take place almost 12 months later.

"We are sorry that we have no alternative but to announce that the Eric Clapton's European Tour planned for May/June 2020 will now be rescheduled to summer 2021," he wrote on his Facebook page.

Slowhand who turns 75 this coming 30th March, has avoided lengthy tours these few years, only playing a handful of dates at a time.

The health and safety of our band, crew, venue staff and fans are our top priority. We look forward to seeing you in Spring 2021."
