Industries are losing money left, right and centre due to the CONVID-19 pandemic except for one band who released an apocalyptic hit song in 1987 - It's the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine).
Currently, the song is sitting at No.63 on iTunes US chart, which is higher than it originally debuted on the US Billboard Hot 100 at No. 69. The classic hit track also previously peaked at No. 4 on the Australian charts when it was first released.
On YouTube, people are flocking to listen to the R.E.M. song. One commenter wrote, "WW3, Coronavirus, Puerto Rico earthquakes, Australia bushfires and then floods. ITS THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT".
Another commented, "Listening to this today everything suddenly makes sense to me for the first time ever. Got a sudden unexpected sense of peace and perspective....I got a beer in my hand and my dog sat beside me and I really do feel fine."
