Ex-Journey frontman Steve Perry has shared an A cappella cover version of the Beach Boys' In My Room.
Perry says, "When I was a teenager in my room, this song gave me comfort," before launching into the song.
The song was one of the Beach Boys' most popular songs, taken from their 1963 LP called Surfer Girl. It was the B-side to 'Be True to Your School'.
Perry had previously explained to Rolling Stone that the song was "an anthem" to his teenage isolation. He resonated with the song a lot because he wanted to be "left alone" in his room where he could find peace and play music.

The singer also wrote on Twitter on why he chose to cover the song, "One late night, I was sitting in my room thinking about so many things. This song came into my mind, and it brought me some comfort. I hope it does the same for you. Stay safe."
