Photos of a reunited AC/DC filming a new music video were reportedly posted and then removed from the band's website earlier this week,
The images featured three members who had departed from the band at various stages during the chaotic tour tied to their 2014 album, 'Rock or Bust'.
The group is widely rumoured to have completed a new studio album using tracks recorded by founding member, guitarist Malcolm Young prior to his death in 2017. He was forced to leave the band before AC/DC's last studio release due to a battle against dementia and other health issues.
Drummer Phil Rudd played on the same album but was unable to go on tour as he was arrested in November 2014 and sentenced to eight months of home detention for threatening to kill someone and possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.
Frontman Brian Johnson was also forced to leave the tour in March 2016 after doctors told him that he would risk permanently losing his hearing. Guns N' Roses singer, Axl Rose took over vocal duties for the remaining 23 shows. Just before their tour ended, bassist Cliff Williams announced his retirement from the group.
The new photos shows lead guitarist Angus Young, Stevie Young (who replaced Malcolm), Johnson, Rudd and Williams all together in front of a massive AC/DC logo. Rudd did not appear on any of the promotional videos for Rock or Bust, so the photographs of him and Stevie Young together indicates that these images are indeed new.
AC/DC has yet to confirm or publicly spoken about any new recordings, releases or touring plans.
