IS THE BOSS GOING TO EXTEND HIS EUROPEAN TOUR?

The first time Bruce Springsteen called Max Weinberg, it was to join The E Street Band.

Countless conversations with The Boss have followed, part and parcel of nearly 50 years spent drumming for one of the most vaunted rock groups on planet Earth.

However Springsteen can still surprise his band, as he did recently unexpectedly notifying Weinberg and his band mates that their sprawling, Jersey-bred outfit would finally resume touring — the E Street Band’s first roadshow in six years with a tour or Europe, kicking off in early 2023.

For nearly 50 years, Max Weinberg has been on the drum kit behind Bruce Springsteen as well as playing for many other musicians but when the call goes out to The E Street Band, you best be ready!

“My contracts all contain a force majeure, a legal term for an act of God – or Bruce Springsteen,” Weinberg explains. “That is in all of my contracts. If the Boss calls, all other considerations/engagements and put on the back burner. Part of being prepared to tour with the E Street Band is also having an intimate knowledge of 330 Springsteen songs because the Boss can call anything on the night...and you better be ready to play it!"

It seems that Bruce Springsteen is simply keen to get back to the stage, recently jumping up with Coldplay to perform "Waiting On A Dream" and "Dancing In The Dark".

Chris Martin of Coldplay told the audience that he has a tattoo of the Boss on his shoulder and that Bruce is his hero. Take a look at some fan footage of the moment when Coldplay jammed with the Boss in New Jersey.
