For those tuning into 93.8 in Auckland, Waikato and Wanaka, the frequency at the moment isn't very strong and there are reports of statics.
That is due to the ongoing work to rebuild the transmission tower at Ruru, that was blown over in a storm in 2017.
Following Health and Safety regulations, masts have had to be moved and that caused the coverage to South Waikato to be affected.
With weather permitting, transmission will return to recent normal over the next few weeks. Completion of the total repair is expected early next year.
Your region not listed above? We may not have set up a frequency for that region yet but you can still tune in to The Sound via our website stream or our mobile app, rova.
