Aerosmith cancel 50th anniversary Vegas shows as Steven Tyler enters rehab

"We are devastated that we have inconvenienced so many of you."

Aerosmith’s lead man Steven Tyler has entered rehab, forcing the band to cancel all their ‘Deuces are Wild’ Las Vegas concerts before September.

The band released the following statement on Twitter yesterday morning (NZT):

"As many of you know, our beloved brother Steven has worked hard on his sobriety for many years.

We are truly sorry to inform our fans and friends that we must cancel our first set of Las Vegas residency dates this June and July while he focuses on his well-being.”

The band planned on playing a huge number of consecutive shows in Vegas to celebrate 50 years of rocking out together, doing at least one show a week - sometimes up to three in one week - from June to December, with only a month off in between (October).

Their remaining tour dates are still up on their website. They plan to perform 18 times from September 4th to December 11th, all in Las Vegas.

We wish Steven all the best on his road to recovery. He’s a music legend and we hope he recovers soon.
